Helpful Tips

  • Round down if the calculated size is within 0.05 of a standard size.
  • Nozzle sizes are standardized in 0.5 increments (e.g., 2.0, 2.5, 3.0).
  • Too small a nozzle = too much pressure = risk of damage.
  • Too large a nozzle = lower pressure, but safer for your equipment.
  • Match the nozzle angle to your task:
    • 0° (Red): Max pressure, for tough stains on concrete.
    • 15° (Yellow): Heavy-duty cleaning.
    • 25° (Green): General-purpose cleaning.
    • 40° (White): Gentle cleaning (cars, windows).
    • 65° (Black): Soap application, low pressure.

Misting Nozzle Spray Angle

All nozzles were tested at 1,000 psi using water at 70℉ (21.1℃). The room humidity was between 40-50% during the tests. The patternation measurements were conducted using the SETscan OP600 patternator that can measure sprays up to a maximum diameter of 7.
